The Ohm Ranger: Bill Vogan's Electric Vehicle
In honor of Earth Day, I am reposting an interview with Bill Vogan, who converted a 1984 Ford Ranger into an electric vehicle.
I read about Bill Vogan's electric Ford Ranger, the Ohm Ranger, last Fall and asked him if I could interview him. He graciously invited me to his beautiful home on the upper Columbia River (Lake Roosevelt) near Inchelium, WA.
About two weeks ago, I ran into Bill and he showed me how he upgraded the Ohm Ranger with a gas-powered motor that can recharge his batteries while he drives. I will post the sequel shortly.
I went back to the editing room with this and am reposting the edit from this morning and will try to get cnn to pull that one. Sorry if you left a comment earlier. I just was not happy with the way it came out.
Here's the follow-up ireport on Bill's hybridization: http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-247934
