    Remembering Bea Arthur

    More from Moveitmoveit

    Rest In Peace, B. Arthur

Most of you already know Bea. Arthur slipped away from this world on Saturday. The TV star's long battle with cancer finally ended peacefully at her L.A. home with her family at her side. She was 86.

It seems too soon for her to pass as Estelle Getty preceded her not too long ago. Our four favorite Golden Girls are leaving us one by one with only Betty and Rue left for us to see.

If your like me, I am a huge Golden Girls fan and I was so shocked when I heard the news yesterday. Bea. was an outstanding actress and an outstanding person. Her booming voice was undeniably recognizable and soothing and her calm and daring composure was something to look up to.

I loved her with all my heart, watching her as I grew up and to have lost her seems impossible. I had dreams that maybe I could meet her some day, but perhaps I can meet her in the world to come as I am sure she's made it to that unending world where she will never have to suffer the pain of cancer and death again.

Help me by saying good-bye to the one and only Dorothy Zbornac, Maude, Bea. Arthur. We love you, there is and always will be a speacial place in our hearts for you, and we will never forget you who made us laugh, made us cry, and instilled in our hearts the vision of sarcasm, intelligence, wit, and most importantly a deep and profound respect for each other. Take your rest now, you have earned it!
