This iReport is part of an assignment:
Bye, bye, Pontiac |
Part of Me is Gone
Ok, this is probably something that only other "car guys or girls" would understand, but I really feel like part of me has been taken away. I literally grew up with pontiacs, whetheron tv or in a friends driveway. The Bandit and Knight Rider were my heros. Trans Ams and big ol' Bonnevilles were my favorites at the classic car shows I attended, and I fell in love with the 4th Generation Trans Am at the 1998 Chicago Auto Show. I currently own a White 2001 WS6 Trans Am, with hopes of adding a second or third in the future. Point is, Pontiac builds excitement for me, even to this day. Edgier styling than the status quo Chevy, but build right by the trusty General. I am a Pontiac guy through and through. I already lost Oldsmobile (also own a 1971 Cutlass Convertible) and it will be had to lose another favorite division to the tightening belt. You will be greatly missed Pontiac, thank you for the memories.
