Remembering the fallen |
Freedom Is Never Free - Sgt. Byron Norwood
My little brother, Sgt. Byron Norwood, USMC, gave his life for this beloved country and his fellow Marine brothers on November 13, 2004 in Fallujah. The grief in my heart is greater than any pain I've ever known, but it only matches the pride I have for my brother, my hero. Byron was so proud and honored to wear this nation's uniform, and he served selflessly and with fierce determination to protect all we hold sacred in this country. He loved America, his family and his Marines more than anything else in world, so much so that he would be willing to lay down his life for his beliefs.
Byron, I love you and I miss you every moment of every day. I count the days that pass until we'll be together again. Families are forever.
