    Western Maryland Scenic Railroad

    Here's a shot of Western Maryland Scenic Railroad Baldwin locomotive #734 taking on water at Cumberland's Western Maryland Station. WMSR runs through the Maryland Mountains between May and December. Special trains and weekday excursions use vintage diesel locomotion. Steam powers weekend rides and children's Christmas trains.

     

    I never get tired of snapping pix this majestic train doing its work on the 32 mile round trip between Frostburg and Cumberland. It runs in all sorts of weather, framed by varying foliage in three different seasons.
