What Do You Feed Your Horse?
Can You see the shine? My horse Sky was uppity and skiddish, when I fed sweet feed. He would kick as soon as it hit the feed bucket. After a bag or two of that, I made a decision to return to whole grains. I chose oats. I will supplement with a little cracked corn. This is how horses were fed years ago, it's cheaper today to feed this way. But the big difference is in the horse. He's different now, much calmer, nicer. He seems focused instead of reactionary. It has made such a large difference, I just had to share. Oh- about the shine- his overall condition improved, and I don't believe it was just shedding his winter coat either. His hooves which were beginning to show external cracks are now almost perfect condition in the front and much improved in the rear -despite all the rain we have had. He has been in very wet conditions. I am amazed. He does get Supreme Fat Supplement, but that's all.
