Dome Car Train Songs Toronto to Vancouver
In this, Part 2 of the Songwriter Train rail trip a few of the talented musician friends on the trip entertain us in the dome car.
The search for sheep continued as the singers sang their songs and the train rolled on...
This trip was in November 2008 and was part of a Roots on the Rails adventure. We were privy to our own private cars where we enjoyed daily concerts, full meals in the dining and lounge cars, and of course, sleeping cars for the four day trip. We left Toronto on November 11 and arrived in Vancouver on November 14 with stops in Winnipeg, Jasper and a few other points along the way.
In November, it was still warm in the lower 48, but up in the Canadian Rockies snow covered the ground as well as the snow capped mountains. It is impossible to convey the beauty of this trip in a few short paragraphs, the comraderie and the joy of the music we shared. I hope these videos will give an idea of just how special this trip was. I will upload one more video after this, the last leg of the trip which will include the stop in Jasper.
