He calls himself "World Guy," and he's back on the road for a good cause.

The goal:  walk from Louisville to Kansas City while pushing a large ball painted to look like the planet Earth.

The purpose:  to raise money and awareness for diabetes.

According to his blog, worldguy.org, which he updates almost daily via his Blackberry, the reason he walks has a lot to do with his own experiences with diabetes:  "Why am I walking? Because maybe someone along the way will be inspired to take care of themself so they can be around for their offspring. I love my mother and would much rather she be alive today than be walking hundreds of miles in her memory."

World Guy estimates that he covers only about 10 miles each day, moving at about one mile per hour.

At the beginning of day 7 he is currently moving through Eckerty, IN about 60-70 miles west of Louisville.
