Who hasn't seen an episode of Star Trek? I have watched episodes over the years and enjoyed them. I was probably more into "Next Generation" than any of the spin offs.

Without giving anything away about the plot I would like to say that the story is pretty good. I liked how they brought the "crew" together.  The twists on some relationships made it interesting.

I thought the performances were great. No over done impersonations at all.  Checkov was my favorite. Zachary Quinto had some big shoes to fill. I think he did well. The whole cast did a great job of making the established characters seem new but not overwhelmingly different.  Lot's of humor in the script and there is even a semi naked green girl.

The bad guys are bad. Erica Bana with facial tattoos and a scary voice..ewwww!

Of course the special effects are amazing. It seems these types of movies just get better and better. I read that all the principal actors have signed for two more Star Trek films. Can't wait to see a Klingon in the future.
