Job Fair at Baseball Stadium
This is the New York Mets new baseball stadium, Citi Field. The line outside the VIP entrance usually consists of season ticket holders, club members and special guests on the way to the lounges, select seating and corporate sponsor boxes. All there to watch a baseball game.
Not today. The lines today were for a job fair sponsored by Employment Guide, with hundreds of candidates attending.
Some of the participants were Met Life, Sears, The US Army, Affinity Health Plan, Time Warner Cable and many others including recruiters, medical schools, day care schools, insurance companies, emergency service training companies and even a travel agency.
The event took place in one of the VIP lounges with a view of the new baseball field.
No luck with a job, but I got my first look at the inside of City Field, which I'd much rather call Mets Stadium.
