This iReport is part of an assignment:
Buffalo plane crash |
Flying Lessons 101
The crash of Flight 3407 was caused by the aircraft stalling. The technology on the aircraft tried to correct this stall 3 times and the pilot Marvin Renslow, initiated a response that was opposite what would have normally been expected in an effort to save the Bombardier turboprop aircraft from a fatal stall.
On a student's 1st or 2nd lesson they are taught what to do when the aircraft stalls and during almost every lesson before they earn their pilot's certification they do stall after stall after stall.
The aircraft's "black box" shows that the plane's computers tried to correct the stall 3 times and Marvin Renslow who should have been taught over and over as a student how to correct a stall time after time fought flying 101 that the aircraft's computers were trying to correct.
The investigation claims the "fatigue" was a factor. Marvin Renslow should have been able to recognize and correct the situation in his sleep.
If Marvin Renslow had just let go of the stick and let the computers take care of things and he just keep chatting with the cute copilot everything would have turned out fine.
Every person that lost a loved one in the crash of Flight 3407 has a wrongful death claim. And every person that was involved in putting Marvin Renslow in the left seat of that aircraft should be having nightmares for killing 50 people.
