    Tornado Path - Kirksville, KY 5/08/09

     

    Using data from the National Weather Service including width and strength, combined with field observation of the debris field, this is a rudimentary satellite view interpretation of the probable path of the  5/08/09 Kirksville, KY tornado as it passed near the intersection of KY Hwy 1295 and Ky Hwy 52 (where the NWS determined EF3 status was attained and two fatalities occured ) and continued on into the "Wildcat Drive" subdivision. 

     

    Note: This is only the portion that most impacted populated areas and does not represent the entire 22 mile path.
