Obama and "don't ask don't tell"... update?
I saw on a cable network a piece of news that commented that, apparently, President Obama will not repeal the "don't ask don't tell" disposition, which means that, if found out, gays will be "dishonorably discharged" from the military.
Is this a broken promise? I had understood that he would do something, positive, about this ruling.
A broken promise on the making?
I wonder if this is more important than the gay marriage issue.
What worries me is that this continues "branding" ex-military gay persons after risking their lives for their country, which means protecting non-gays and gay Americans -- and foreigners living in it.
