    Lahore Blast

Yet again on my way through Lahore, I was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Just about an hour ago, at the Fatimah Jinnah Instersection near the Lahore High Court, a suicide bomber rammed a red carry van with a supposed 100 kg of explosives into the local police building. The explosion was MASSIVE, it not only deafened us, but broke our car's windows. The building that was targeted was the local 15 (the equivalet of the US' 911) emergency unit. Also damaged was a nearby petrol pump and a car dealership. The cars in the dealership all have broken windows due to the blast.

Currently I'm at Ganga Ram hospital Emergency ward and it is a mad house. The number of injured here are about 130 whereas the staff as confirmed 7 deaths at this unit. I am unaware of the other humbers of deaths since the dead and injured were transferred to Mayo hospital and Services Hospital along with Ganga Ram.

There are still police officers buried under the rubble according to some rescue workers and I can hear a helicopter up above us, keeping an eye on things.

Our car was damaged due to the fact that at the moment of the blast, the traffic signal was red so we were all stopped there. The cars near the front were completely destroyed and the shrapnel form the suicide van along with other cars is laying around everyywhere.
