My Experience at the Tonight Show
Since there's been so much talk in the news lately about the Tonight Show, I wanted to share a few pictures from my experience at the Tonight Show in January of 2006.
Ladysmith Black Mambazo, the singing group that my husband (Mitch Goldstein) manages and Sarah McLachlan were the musical guests on the show and performed the song "Homeless" together.
Ladysmith Black Mambazo was promoting their album "Long Walk to Freedom."
Ladysmith Black Mambazo has recorded with many international stars, most notably, Paul Simon on his 1986 record, Graceland.
Their Grammy Award nominated CD, "Long Walk To Freedom" features guest performances by: Melissa Etheridge, Emmylou Harris, Taj Mahal, Joe McBride, Sarah McLachlan, Natalie Merchant and Zap Mama.
From the moment we arrived at the Tonight Show studio, we were all very well taken care of. Jay Leno, went into the “green room” to personally introduce himself to everyone and handed out Tonight Show t-shirts to all of us and stayed and chatted for a while.
Attached are a few pictures I took of our experience on the Tonight Show.
1) Jay Leno and Ladysmith Black Mambazo after the show.
2) Ladysmith Black Mambazo rehearsing with Sarah McLachlan

* I took all the attached pictures, except the one of me with Sarah McLaughlan (#7). That was taken by my husband.
