Graduates looking for work
Just Graduated from Law School...Now What???
After three LONG years of studying, exams and clerkships I have FINALLY graduated from Law School. This day was something I dreamed of for the better part of my educational life, but now that it has come things are not working out quite as I had planned. In my visions of this future, I had seen myself with a good job lined up to provide for my family in ways that previously had not been possible. However, with the economy being in the condition it is now the job has proven to be very hard to find. I have started to keep a folder in my email and a binder at home where I store every disappointing rejection letter. To date, I have applied for more than 50 possible jobs (some attorney positions, some in non-traditional career fields). I don't want to sound ungrateful. I thank God every day that I had the opportunity to get an education. Things will work out eventually, but for now my family and I will struggle with all those out there being effected by this economy. I am offering up prayers to God daily that we all find our own ways to get through this tough economic time and come out more successful than ever. Hopefully you all are doing the same in your own ways.
