Baariz is a herbal drug developed for the patients of HIV / AIDS; it is an immunomodulator and has strong anti-viral activity against HIV.

Laboratory studies (in vitro) on Baariz were carried out in Nagoya University, Japan and clinical trials were conducted in Pakistan.

Thirty one HIV / AIDS positive patients from stage 1 to 4 (range of virus load from 12,000 to 6.6 million copies/ml) were treated with Baariz, 17 patients were cured (post treatment PCR negative) and in 9 patients mean viral load decreased by more then (72%) P< 0.001, which is statistically significant. Mean weight gain in patients after treatment with Baariz was 7.2 Kg. Being traditional medicine, Baariz is free of side effects as proved in invitro study on cell lines.
