    Before & After the Quake

    This is a tower in Izmir Turkey before and after a major earthquake back in 1972.

     

    The initial quake was at night.  I awoke the next morning to find my bed had moved over 5 feet across the room... I thought someone was messing with me at first, then I heard about the quake that I slept through.
