The number of injured from this afternoon's (May 26th) train bomb blast near the Delhiwela Railway Station has now risen to 73.
The explosion around 5.10 pm in a compartment of the Panadura-bound train left seven dead, according to Police Spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekara.
The Colombo South General Hospital at Kalubowila is treating 73 wounded people, hospital Director Dr. Wilfred Kumarasiri said.
The bodies of six dead - four women and two men - are with the hospital, he added.
