This iReport is part of an assignment:
'Don't ask, don't tell' |
- MR. PRESIDENT-YES YOU CAN-QUIT SMOKING THAT IS...
- MR. JACKSON HAD HIS DAY IN THE LIMELIGHT AS WELL AS IN COURT-LET HIM REST IN PEACE.
- TRANSFORMER2-IT IS JUST A MOVIE-SO ENJOY IT FOR YOUR SELF.
- THE IRANIAN COURAGE IS TO BE HONORED WITH RESTRAINT FROM OTHERS.
- IF IT STICKS, IT MUST BE STUCK ON YOU. BUMPER STICKERS. VIDEO.
DON'T ASK DON'T TELL-TIME TO GET RID OF THIS ALBATROSS.
I will make it short. In my 25 years of serving I may have had numerous Gay men fighting alongside me and to be honest, I could not have cared less. I am alive, I have kids, and they, (if they were Gay), covered my SIX. So, repeal, abolish, and terminate Don't Ask Don't Tell. Truth be told people, when you are under fire, you do not care who is sleeping with who.
And besides, the rights we fight for are for all, so it is only logical that all who are law abiding and patriotic should be allowed to serve. After all, those who do not want to ever wear the uniform come from all walks of life, even those supposed ultra conservatives who think the Bible is reality.... Really, let us just move on into the 21st Century.
I would rather have Gay people who want to fight on the ground with my men, instead of criminals and gang bangers who do not deserve to ever serve. Good bye Yellow Brick Road-hello a modern military. I should know how to fight, I have been there and know how it is done. Take my word, this Sergeant Major is not worried about a soldier's sexual orientation, but rather, whether they understand their oath. That is good enough for me.
