    Time to legalize pot?

    time for a change

As someone who has been on both sides ot the fence, I will put in my two cents,  As a teen, my mother found my stash, and I lost her respect.  A life sentence.  As a military policeman I enforced laws dealing with marijuana.  Do I think it is wrong? Absolutely, it is time we took a real look at marijauna and throw out all the antiquated, reffer madness, ideas.  Marijuana does less harm by it's use than alcohol or tobacco. Yet we still call it a dangerouse drug.  Hemp is far better for it's uses than other things we replaced it with,  is; rope, clothing, fuel, and so on.  I used marijuana for many years and never desired "stronger" highs,  I never killed anyone while using it, never hurt anyone while using it, and I for one, think our society uses it more than any other drug. I only blase that on my beliefs, so don't ask for proof.  I do know in my workplace there is about 75% use of it, and I am probably being conservative with those numbers.  Lets get real America, the time is way past to legalize it and take it out of the hands of the criminals.  Free all those convincted of itw use or dealing it, and it wouild relieve overcrowding, Tax it and use the tax money to pay for Obamas health plan, Regulate it so it is safer.  No problems, just benefits, And I did not even talk about the medical benefits.
