US-Korean Journalists Jailed - US response

These two ladies were foolish and stupid. They knew what they were doing and the possible consequences of their actions - only a fool puts their head into a lions mouth.

But that said, the penalties do appear to be politically motivated in part. The other part of the debate is that there is a chance that N. Korea is using them as an example. They are saying to others silly enough to attempt this sort of thing to "stay away."

    N. Korea, like any country, has a right to determine who does and who doesn't come across their borders and N. Korea has made it plain to everyone everywhere that they are not welcome without an invitation.

12 years is very harsh I agree but maybe, just maybe, a few idiots being treated this way may just give pause to toehr idiots and make them put their brains in gear before they try and play God.
