After relocating back to Missouri from Texas about 9 years ago I realized I had lost contact with alot of friends after having been gone for so long.  My mother many years prior had meet her husband through a local newspaper and she suggested I try something online.  I found Kiss.com and created a profile stating seeking friendship possibly more and that as a grown adult I was not looking for drama or high school games loved my job in Sr. Property Mgt. and was looking to have someone to occassionally dine with, see movies and build new friendships.  I chatted online with a few men and tried to do that and ask then days later reask the same questions (amazing how many answers changed as many forgot what they had told me allowing me to avoid meeting several people)  I went on one meet and greet for a cocktail and low and behold the person was not at all what they appeared to be online from photo or conversation.  Needless to say even though it was my first outing I felt this was not the outlet I wanted to use to develop new friends and possibly more so when I got home I removed my profile.  However, I a couple of days later read through about 25 or so messages received and 1 in particular caught my attention.  He was recently divorced, was very much the gentleman in his email, was a local Marine and seemed to have similar interests.  We talked on the phone for hours and began emailing and before the 1st week of contact was out we agreed to meet for drinks and after meeting we extended it to shooting some pool.  The next night I felt comfortable enough to even invite him over to watch a movie and share some wine.  We had a great time and ever since our first meeting we have been together.  After 3 months he moved in, at 6 months I flew to PA with him to meet his parents who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and they welcomed me with open arms and even included me as a bridesmaid at the renewal of vows ceremony, and at 11 months we married.  We are here almost 9 years from meeting and just celebrated our 8th wedding anniversay and have been blessed with a now soon to be 5 year old beautiful girl.  I truly believe had I not found him when I had that I would still be searching for my soul mate, best friend, lover and confidant as he fits all of these molds when past marriage and relationships maybe 1 part would fit.  Right now I feel like the luckiest woman in the world to have the whole package.
