Queen's Official Birthday Celebrations, London, UK
Queen Elizabeth2 officially celebrated her 83rd birthday on 13th June. There has been a norm of celebrating the monarch's official birthday in the summer so that the subjects can greet her without the harsh winter wet conditions to dampen the celebrations. Called 'Trooping the Colour Parade’, these photographs were in front of Buckingham Palace, London, where the ceremonial guards marched past in their royal finery. It was a bright, sunny and warm day and people had gathered in hordes all around the Palace grounds along the Mall Road to greet the Queen.
