I've tried selling the darned thing, but I'm glad no one bought it. Even though we're all feeling the prices at the pump (see the attached news story covering me and making sure to mention my SUV), I've decided the guilt over the Prius' passing me on the interstate are my own problem, and the guilt isn't helping save the environment.

With only 1,000.00 bucks left of car payments, I'm keeping my SUV for awhile, with intentions of a trade in since I can't sell it, for a more economical SUV once the technology is worth it. And yeah, I said SUV.

I actually USE my SUV, and I actually need the V8. So when the yippies (hippy yuppies that listen to college radio....still....) fly by me in their Hybrid, point your zealous self righteous thoughts inward and remember, that some of us actually pull boats and horse trailers. I actually drove to rural PA this weekend and loaded my bikes and cooler, and went off roading through streams and mud (I have those pics too).

When the Inquirer rationalizes me into an SUV housewife and corners me in my Sun Valley t-shirt at a gas station on a day off, I may look like a housewife soccer mom who doesn't give a crap, but I actually use the darned car for what it's for...so let's not forget that when we're being environmentally friendly. First formula baby feeding guilt and now SUV guilt? Not for this working woman.

And by the way, on week days I hardly drive the thing, since I carpool to work on days that I don't work from home. But what if I didn't...who are you to judge...you probably forget to put your recycling out half the time and gamble on illegal web sites, but it's none of my business...
