Tragedy on Metro Rail in DC: Six Dead many more Feared dead
This is the worse tragedy in the 4 decades history of the transportation system in DC. While six people have been confirmed dead and there were countless injured, the greater fear is that one train that is heavily compacted may have more casualties.
Gaining access to the sight is difficult at this time but all available resources are deployed and the emergency crews will be working around the clock to gain access to those in the train most compacted by the collision.
'This was a matter of one train rearending another at a high rate of speed.
