Your memories of Harvey Korman |
He and his humor were a gift to us all...
Growing up, it was a privilege to stay up and watch a few carefully selected TV. programs. First and foremost among those special opportunities was the Carol Burnett show. Their spontaneity, humor, and showmanship set a standard that's rarely been matched. Tuning in was always a highlight of the week and the laughs were always sweet and heartfelt.
I had the chance to meet Mr. Korman (with the equally talented Mr. Conway - pictured) a few years back and it was a real thrill. They both looked exactly the same in person as on television. Clearly the gift of humor Mr. Korman shared with us was a preserving force in his life. I can only hope he got to feel the same sense of fun and uplifting humor he shared with us every day of his career.
My family wishes to send its' condolences and best wishes to Mr. Korman's family and all his close friends and colleagues at this time of his passing. They've surely experienced an inexpressible loss and we're with them in spirit. Mr. Korman will be sorely missed and can never be replaced.
