This iReport is part of an assignment:
Unrest in Iran |
How to get around Iran Internet Security
Here is a number of things the internet user in Iran can do to get around the security in Iran to publish infomation.
1.) Use app called Hide the IP, it will establish an encrypted tunnel to countries like Africa and when their security staff views it it wont show up as a twitter or Skype destination. This is very useful
2.) Record your video then convert it to an .ivr file, which is Real Player, these files are very small and wont draw attention when sent across the internet. Software that can be used is something like Xilisoft
3.) Use PGP (pretty good privacy) on emails, without the key they wont be able to read them.
4.) Try using a VOIP application such as Skype, or anything that can support SRTP, this is encrypted and cant be listened too.
