    3x5 American Flag Most Popular for 4th of July

    Though there are many sizes of American flags available, the most common size is the 3x5 American Flag.  The 3x5 American Flag is typically flown on a porch railing, hung in a window or displayed on an inground pole.  The 3x5 American Flag is also the size flag flown over our Nation's Capital.

     

    The typical pole size for being displayed on a home is a 6' foot pole made of aluminum, wood, or white enamel.  For window display the flag needs to be displayed on where the blue field is on your left hand side when viewed from the street.  Inground poles often vary in size, but 2 of the most common business and residential pole heights are 15' and 20'.
