The Great Korman
Wow. First Dick Martin, now Harvey Korman. It's official, the fathers of silly yet intelligent comedy are taking their final bows.
When you're a kid watching the retread of the Flinstones, it's totally impossible not to forget "The Great Gazoo." Sure, the chartacter was clearly a rip-off of Bewitched and I Dream of Jeanie, but Korman made "Gazoo" the person that laughed at the absurdity.
Blazing Saddles was his finest work. Korman made Heddy Lamaar stand out.
Good job, "dumb,dumb". :)
