    Fallen crane outside my bedroom window

    I woke up to the sound of the crash this morning, but i had no idea what had happened, i thought it was just more construction noise. It wasn't until i heard the sirens that I knew something was really wrong. I figured it was safest to stay put in my apartment until I heard that they were worried about the structural integrity of the part that was still standing. I cleared out right away. There was debris all over first avenue, and a window had been smashed in the deli across the street. Emergency crews were still sorting through the rubble. It was absolutly horrifying to see. All I kept thinking was, what if it had fallen the other way? it could be me burried under all that..
