    Philippine NCAA Season 85 Opening Ceremony


    The crowds are screaming, the drums are roaring and the cheer leaders are flying through the air. An ecstatic opening ceremony for the 85th season of the Philippine National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Araneta Coliseum this afternoon.

    The event was filled with passion, fire works, high wire acts and some famous personalities. Among whom: Zaijan Jaranilla the television child star of May Bukas Pa (There is still Tomorrow) came in character as he gave short but very inspiring invocation.

    US ambassador Kristie Kenney also came in and gave a speech reminding the fans of their importance in ensuring their teams’ victories.

    The Philippine NCAA was founded in 1924 is one of the countries most popular sports leagues. This season promises to be even more epic as the SanBeda College vows to keep their thrown on the basketball championship and The College of Saint Benilde aim once more on for the general championship.
