Veggie Vans Fuel Tour Company
Max returned from a trip to Bryce and Zion Canyons, where they took 4 people on a road cycling tour of one of the most beautiful places on earth.. Why is he smiling? They drove approximatly 640 miles and used 53.3 gallons- of vegetable oil! Although these recently converted tour vans ($2000 to convert to bio-deisel) still need some deisel to get going, on average 12 gallons, this saved at least $200 in fuel costs. With tour all over North America, this really adds up. Escape Adventures, a multi-sport touring company, is the first of it kind in the world to use these practices. Owner Jared Fisher recently began Grease Monkey's Las Vegas; the name says it all. Small businesses have to PAY to have a company come and take thier grease. Jared Fisher will come and take it for free. After all, it's golden grease to him! Escape Adventures has been voted one of the worlds, "Best Outfitters on Earth," by Nat-Geo and also has the honor of being the ,"World's Only Carbon-Neutral Outfitter." What would we ask Big Oil?
