Crying Tibetans need earthquake relief
Tibetan people living in Heishui, Sichuan Province are suffered from
collapsed homes. The above picture shows the rubbles of homes at Wabo
Town Yusagou Village. All 23 houses completely collapsed.
Some
of these Tibetan people live in cottages on mountains. Their homes had
no steel or cement. In Zhugeduo Village, Luhua Town, it was told that
all 68 houses are severely damaged, some collapsed completely.
Fortunately, most people are safe.
Some of them live in
mountains at elevation of 2800 meters. There is no road here. Buying
and shipping stones and woods plus construction would cost 100,000 RMB
(>14,000 USD) per home. No one here could afford such a home.
