Our 8 Day Florida Trip
My wife and I traveled to Florida to visit with our good friends Tom & Maria that are snowbirding down there in Sebring, Fl. We had only been to Florida once before and that was a 7 day stay on the property of Disney World, so this trip was a more of a get to know the Gulf side of Florida. We spent 2 days in Sebring, before heading for Sarasota, Fl and a house we had all rented.
The house was more of a starting point for our day trips to the Gulf beaches and communities. The pictures I have attached has the special shots that I took to showcase some of the things we saw. We traveled to Venice Beach, Fl and walked the beach for a bit before heading to Sharkey's Restaurant for a drink. When we walked out the back of the restaurant, we found a 150' pier attached to the back of it, and all kinds of people fishing, and taking in the sun, surf, and having a wonderful day. We left there and headed for Anna Maria, Fl a small beach communtity on the end of an pennisula jutting out into the Gulf outside Sarasota, FL. We wanted to capture a true Gulf Sunset. The beaches at Anna Maria, were pure white sand, and the sunset was grand till it dipped into a cloud bank. My friend Maria helped me capture the sunset thru her ring clad fingers forming a heart with her hands, i was able to take a picture of the sun as i started to set.
The animal pictures, roller coaster, and Katonga picture is from Busch Gardens, Tampa, FL. and the final sunset picture are from the Gulf at Maderia Beach, FL. We had a wonderful time with our friends and seeing a side of Florida we had never seen before. We hope to go back again one day and experience the Ocean side this time.
