Teen shoots short film in Chicago suburbs
16 year old Andy Jarosz has a passion for filmmaking. "I can't explain it, it just seems like something I was born to do. It combines everything I love" says Jarosz, who started making short films with his friends when he was just 10 years old.
When he first started, he was creating claymation films with a webcam "Nowadays," Jarosz told us "I have gotten all my friends into it, and they love to act. I have also continuously ugraded my equipment and we now use some of the same stuff they use in Hollywood."
So what is this teen's next project? A 50 minute long feature entitled Sandstone. "It's basically a classic rebellion vs. oppressive government story, with a nice sci-fi twist."
When asked how others could help, he responded "We have a website, andyfilms.net, with a donation link right on the front page. We're running a contest where you can win $100 by donating, because right now we are in dire need of cashflow." he laughed.
