Remembering Michael Jackson |
My memory of Michael Jackson-The King!
I remember my mom bought her first VCR back when I was around 6 or 7. We lived in a basement apartment in an apartment building and the area was kind of bad so were not allowed to go outside and play with the other children. So she bought us this VCR after saving all of her money and the first VHS tape she bought was Michael Jackson's Thriller/The making of Thriller. My little brother and I watched it at least 2-3 times a day practicing his moves and rehearsing Thriller so when family members came over we could perform for them. Michael was more than Icon to us. He was apart of our lives, our early childhood memories. He helped us through a rough time in my mom's life and helped us learn the art of self entertainment. We love you for that Michael and I will forever hold that memory in my heart.
