Sarah Palin: "Only Dead Fish Go With the Flow"

I found it ironic that during the announcement of her resignation, Governor Palin mentioned dead fish and said "only dead fish go with the flow." She recently celebrated a victory when the Supreme Court sided with her and President Bush by ruling in favor of permitting the discharge of tailings from the Kensington Gold Mine (in Alaska) to be dumped directly into Lower Slate Lake, killing all life within.

That the Supreme Court allowed the Army Corps of Engineers to reclassify the tailings as "fill" was a blatant disregard for the truth and the law. The Clean Water Act does not allow mining waste to be discharged into a body of water. It DOES provide for the use of certain materials as "fill" for construction purposes. The Kensington Mine tailings are clearly not being used for construction. It is a travesty.

I felt so strongly about the killing of Lower Slate Lake in Alaska that I made a video about it. Here's the link. You decide if what Sarah Palin, Bush and the Supreme Court did was justified.
