Forest Lawn Drive closed to traffic for MJ funeral (see note)

The media presence was growing here slowly, but relentlessly over the past week. I frequently commute through this wooded route tucked away in a busy part of the Hollywood Hills. The Forest Lawn cemetery is located right next to Warner Brothers' studios. As recently as yesterday morning, media activity was substantial, yet understated. By evening, the crowd of people and media vans were overflowing and starting to impede traffic. Los Angeles Police Department officers were starting to turn away pedestrian traffic. By this morning, the entire route from Universal Studios to the freeway exit was closed to all traffic except what appeared to be participants of the funeral procession.
