RAM CHEMICAL FIRE, THE DAY AFTER
I went back over to the site today to look at the damage. The cause is still unknown or they are not saying. I talked to a representative from HCPHES(Harris County Public Health & Environmental Services), and he said that they are doing tests on the water in the ditch or creek that runs beside the warehouse for contamination. He also said that the warehouse might not of had a proper sprinkler system, because of the grandfather law or ordinance. You would think that they would of had this anyway because of the nature of what they store in the warehouse.
My sources also say that the employees left about 1:00pm yesterday and the fire started about 2:00pm next to or by the dumpster on the north end of the property.
I will be back to you with more details when I get them.
