This iReport is part of an assignment:
'Staycation' all you've ever wanted? |
Laycation
Call it staycation, call it vacation, and I will call it laycation. Making the most of the economy going down and money being tight. The reality is weather the kids will be outside I will be soaking up skin cancer in the rays of the sun and trying to eliminate debt as we speak. Writing letters for my son everyday and night trying to put life together. Trying to twist and bend back our mistakes and trying to enjoy my childrens child hood. I am learning everyday. I have learned how to grow Herbs for Autism and I have learned how to make fingerpaints out of salt and flour. My laycation is mainly being at home with the ones I love the most. No going to the mall or helping the economy . Saving gas as much as I can and surviving. Living differently and frugal. Gardening will replace grocery shopping and sewing anew fun time. I am the least domesticated ever and I am learning I have to be. I used to kid my husband and tell him I am ment to be rich and I needed a maid to help.I hated to cook and we were always out of the house. We have no choice now. A laycation it is for us. Domestic living for me.
