    Surviving a brain tumor

no next- a film for my brother and sister

On July 9, 1984, my brother Greg lost a long and hard fought battle with a brain tumor. On July 9, 2004, exactly twenty years to the day, my sister Carolyn died from the same brain tumor that took Greg. Incomprehensible. There is no way to describe the affect this has had on me, and my entire family. Throughout both of their illnesses, there was something else that had a profound impact on me. Our family received such a tremendous outpouring of love and support, and I carry that with me to this day. I know I could never repay the hundreds of people who cared for us along the way. However, I recently came to the realization that I had to try to do just that. Do something, anything, to help others who may be in the same awful situation that we faced not once, but twice. This film, and this entire site, is my attempt to raise awareness, to open eyes and open hearts, and to, in some small way, start to live up to my end of the deal as one who gets to live on. I dedicate this site to the all the families and friends who live on through the devastating loss of a loved one due to a brain tumor. We honor the memories of those who have succumbed to this horrible disease, and we offer encouragement and prayers to those who are fighting today. Let us continue the fight, vowing to never give up, until there is no next.
