This iReport is part of an assignment:
Still driving that gas guzzler? |
To Down Grade to New Car PMTs or Keep to Keep Putting Gas In?
Which is cheaper, trade my 2001 Suburban (59K miles) and make car payments or keep putting gas in it? First, the dealers are wanting to give little to none of what the blue book value is on trade.
My thoughts are, I can afford a lot of gas for the equivilent of a new car payment. Further, if I continue to drive my gas guzzler for a couple more years, supply and demand for gas miser cars will go down. Down grading to a miser also means you have enough room for your ass and a tank of gas.
