Pretty much from the first moment I laid my eyes on Cody, that faithful April 12th, 2008 day, I knew there was something special about this guy.  And of course, it was such a cliche, he was my cable guy of all people!  He came to install my cable at my house and I was just in my sweats and sweatshirt, so nothing spectacular, but our eyes locked for a few seconds when he got out of his truck.  We didn't talk much for about the first 30 minutes, but as soon as I started talking about how excited I was about getting my DVR, we could not stop talking for over an hour!  He gave me his card, and told me to call him anytime to talk.  I was such a shy freak, didn't have the nerve to call because I thought he was just being a nice cable guy, that it took me almost two months to finally call him!  But he was so excited that I finally got a hold of him, because he could not contact me first because of their rules at the cable company.  We went out that night, talked for HOURS and we saw each other pretty much everyday from then on.  We just clicked so well that we both couldn't believe not only how much we had in common, but even our histories were somewhat alike.  But the nice thing too is that we are different in a lot of ways so we are not complete twins, but we have been told by a lot of people that we could be if it weren't for our looks.  Then two days before my birthday in December, he proposed!  We went out with friends for my birthday and at one point he pulled me away from the group, took me down a street and got down on one knee right then and there!  People were walking by, he forgot all that he had planned and wanted to say, but it didn't matter, I kept interrupting him screaming "Yes, yes, yes!!"  We got married at the end of March this year and I could not ask for a better man!  He does everything for me: cooks, cleans, surprises me with gifts, loves me and my daughter unconditionally and puts up with my regular nagging!  He really is an angel sent from above.  I had a rough previous marriage and with Cody, I have had the ability to forget the past and believe that there really is such a thing as true love out there and a soul mate for every person, as cheesy as it may sound, I don't care, because I whole-heartedly believe in it!
