This iReport is part of an assignment:
Black in America: Your roots |
Making Black America Better
Post asserts that if Black America as a collective truly wants to reach new heights, we need to focus again on not just being successful, but being great. We should, for example, not be content with a rapper winning a Grammy if the lyrics degrade our community. We need accountability once again. We get too focused on lauding those who "made it" with no regard for HOW they "made it." If we get back to focusing on leaving a positive legacy, our future will be brighter.
