This iReport is part of an assignment:
Still driving that gas guzzler? |
i wish i could get rid of it
drive a 2000 gmc jimmy. it gets 12 miles to the gallon. my gas guage is broken so i have to track my mileage and fill up every 200 miles. i spend about 60-65 dollars for a fill up with gas prices at 3.95.
i originally got my suv after i totaled my cavalier in december of last year. i needed a vehicle then and that was the cheapest. but now i know why it was, and thats because i would spend so much on gas. when we were car shopping, i thought i wanted an suv and that i was ready for one, besides being scared of cars now because of the accident, but i should have gotten over my fears for the sake of my pocket in the long run.
if i could trade my suv in for a car and not have to keep paying for my loan, i would in a heart beat, but i'll still have to pay on my loan and i'd have two car payments, one for a vehicle i dont have anymore. i hate driving and suv and dread getting in the car everyday.
