Summertime in Philly
My favorite season is summer and there are many things to do in Philadelphia. The highlight of the summer is the Fourth of July Celebration. This year, the free concert featured Sheryl Crow. As far as cooling off, the best places are along the two rivers in Philadelphia. Along the banks of the Delaware River, we have Penn’s Landing where we can cool off in the summer and watch live entertainment. The other side of town, we have the Schuylkill River, a favorite among rowers, dragon boat competitors, runners and cyclists. In many neighborhoods, a fun way to cool off is to just get under a sprinkler!
