This iReport is part of an assignment:
Remembering Walter Cronkite |
Mr Cronkite
Mr Cronkite will always be remembered for his story of the JFK shooting and the ensuing swearing in of LBJ. We also will remember Mr. Cronkite for his story and coverage of the moon landing. He says he only wished he had not retired before the news began to change so much. He did not know he had so many good years of health in front of him.
Well he is a very fortunate man to have accomplished all that he accomplished and to have lived until the age of 92. It is obvious that this man loved the work that he did. Coming to you from a land that was the center of the news during Katrina I can tell you how important good news anchors are. I know Mr Cronkite was before my time but I will always remember him and I say God bless and God speed Mr. Cronkite.
