I read The Jerusalem Post online regularly. If the world is going to blow, it starts there. Even though I live far away in Canada, I see my personal future life is threatened by what is going on there. Today, a Freelance Journalist wrote this:

´Take our public security minister, for example. This June, while reviewing antidrug operations in southern Tel Aviv, Yitzhak Aharonovitch praised an undercover cop for his grungy appearance, remarking that he looked an "Araboush." Now for those who don't speak bigot, Araboush is an anti-Arab epithet on par with, say, Jewboy or Hymie. In any sane Western democracy, an official caught using such language could kiss his career good-bye. But not so here.´

He´s right, but I couldn´t believe the hatred and self-righteousness in all the comments made about his article.

I was moved to write this: ´As a Canadian watching from afar, I am dismayed by the hatred, disdain and contempt most commentators express toward the writer and Arab/Palestinians. This bodes ill for Israelis, and for all peoples, Nations and tongues.

I agree with the writer and his points . If this great divide is not healed, there will be no future for any of us.

Armageddon the place, is located in the West Bank, and this ungodly hatred has taken hold in Israel. If this attitude does not change, the Israeli people will be responsible for leading the world into experiencing the event that will be the Great Holocaust.´ By the comments on this article and so many others I read, Israelis are anxiously waiting for a green light from America to bomb Iran. Only a blind fool would think it will stop there.

The divide between Israel and the Arab/Palestinians is greater than the divide between Republicans and Democrats in America. I feel strongly within me, if Americans cannot overcome the Republican/Democrat divide and realize United We Stand, Divided We Fall, the divide over there will widen and we all will fall into the pit. It´s not up to President Obama alone. WE all have a part to play.

What say you? It´s your life and future at stake. Do you really care?
