Road Trip TIME LAPSE - Day Two - MO to CO
21 June 2009
"Moving Right Along" -- VA to CO in Two Days
Day Two -- St. Louis MO to Boulder CO
TIME LAPSE
Honestly, I really cannot believe the amount of comments from everyone regarding Day One... I knew that I liked the video, I guess I just wasn't prepared for so many other people to like it as well... Which brings me to the anticipated...
...DAY TWO!!! I just finished editing this morning and, I have to say, I actually think I like the second part better than the first. It's a tough call.
The drive was very different during the second day. We left St. Charles, MO, on the morning of July 9th and headed west on I-70. The topography changed pretty drastically to flat grasslands which went on for miles and miles. Countless acres of crops grown by hardworking Americans forging a tough life from the Heartland and doing those jobs for which we should all be thankful...helping put food in our grocery stores and organic food markets, etc.
It was a triumphant day which ended ultimately in my new hometown of Boulder, Colorado. As such, my music choice for the second day was the song "Rollover" by Colorado's own The String Cheese Incident. I've listened to their unique style of jam rock on countless road trips in the past and, since they also have a great many ties to Boulder, it only seemed a fitting tribute for this part of the journey.
I really hope you like this installment and apologize again for its length. This time it was 15 hours condensed into 11 minutes. Luckily the boys from String Cheese had the perfect song for the timing...
Enjoy everyone and thanks again!!!
Cheers,
PHAmanNYC (now from Colorado)
